My Masks

We all wear masks.

Our Grade 10 iRAP Visual Arts students were asked to think critically about what aspects of themselves they present to others, and what they keep on the inside. The masks you see here are representations of this.

Looking in from the outside, we see what they want us to see. This is the “polished” version presented to the world.

Looking out from the inside, the mask is gone – no hiding here. We see the raw person underneath all of the layers of protection put on each and every day.

We encourage you to look within yourself and contemplate your own masks and what is underneath.
