“Those schools who infuse arts throughout the school see a profound impact on students and culture.”
– Cheri Sterman
Beginning in September 2020, we are offering a unique and innovative regional program, (iRAP) that will prepare you for a changing world. Become involved in authentic, multidisciplinary Community Art projects which will open the doors to new opportunities in the creative field. Discover the world through the creative process and develop confidence, self-expression, and critical thinking skills needed in our changing world. Discover pathways in both traditional and non-traditional fields of study to prepare for a future in the creative industries which could include art, science, technology, digital media, and art therapy streams (just to name a few fields). Are you a creative thinker with a passion for learning about the world through the lens of the arts? Are you looking for a unique learning environment with a focus on the connections between the arts and other curriculum areas? If the answer is yes, then you belong at Sacred Heart Catholic High School’s new and innovative iRAP program.
Sacred Heart Catholic High School is celebrating 40 years of excellence in academics, sports, arts, and community engagement. We are an Advanced Placement Centre of Excellence (AP/PACE, Centre for Specialists High Skills Major – SHSM in both Arts and Culture and Health and Wellness). We are an inclusive and welcoming community and home to new Canadian students from many countries who are part of our English As a Second Language (ESL) program. Our students are engaged and participate in many clubs, councils, activities, sports teams and community volunteer opportunities, thanks to our amazing faculty and support staff.
As an iRAP student, you will complete a high school diploma while earning a Certificate of Integrated Arts or an Honours Certificate of Integrated Arts.
