Our Regional Arts and Technology Open House is open to all Gr.8 students across York Region who are interested in a new and integrated approach that leverages the power of the Arts and Technology (Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music, Visual Arts & Technology Studies) to enhance their learning experience.

How to Register

To register at Sacred Heart, please fill out and complete the online iRAP Registration. Students registering for AP may also register for iRAP.

The Interview

Upon application to the program, students will attend a virtual Master Class which will be conducted by an iRAP teacher from Sacred Heart. The purpose of the Master Class is to help future iRAP students identify the areas of interest or passion that they are interested in pursuing. 

In response to the Master Class questions, students will submit a pathway statement of intent outlining their  artistic methods or Art forms, as well as identify areas of Technological Studies they may  wish to pursue . Students will then be given guidance on a long-term course selection pathway plan using the Course Selection Chart for the iRAP program.

Following the Master Class, prospective iRAP students will be invited to attend a Virtual Guidance Google Class to assist in the completion of a grade 9 and 10 course pathway for iRAP.
